Isaiah McKenzie, WR/PR — Ankle

The Broncos had two of their most athletic and speedy receivers carted off the field in this game, both with ankle injuries.

In my opinion, the injury McKenzie suffered appeared to be worse than the one sustained by Emmanuel Sanders.

McKenzie was deep downfield on a passing play, when he took flight to adjust to an underthrown deep ball by Trevor Siemian. Upon his re-arrival to the ground, McKenzie landed awkwardly and it looked like — same with Sanders — he had broken his ankle.

As it turns out, McKenzie also suffered only a sprain, but will miss the game against the Chargers on Sunday as a result.

With questions surrounding Cody Latimer as well, the Broncos could be down three receivers, and may have to explore the option of bringing in some additional help, perhaps off the practice squad in the form of Hunter Sharp.
