Emmanuel Sanders, WR — Ankle

Emmanuel Sanders was having a very solid game against the Giants prior to going down with what appeared to be a very serious ankle injury.

The injury happened when Sanders was crossing the field at full speed, and a pass intended for him was low and away, and the Giants safety in pursuit dove for the ball, and ended up taking Sanders out right at the ankles.

Sanders bent his ankle in such a way that would have led me to believe he broke his ankle and his reaction seemed to indicate that was the case as well. He could put no pressure on the ankle, and was grimacing in pain as he was loaded onto a cart and taken back to the locker room.

X-Rays were negative for Sanders, and an MRI revealed that Sanders is dealing with an ankle sprain. Vance Joseph said he is considered to be week-to-week at this point, and he will not play against the Chargers on Sunday.
