4. Adam Gotsis, Defensive End

The Denver Broncos have an elite defensive front, but perhaps no one has been a more pleasant surprise this season than weak-side defensive end Adam Gotsis, a second-year player out of Georgia Tech.

Gotsis has nine stops in the running game according to Pro Football Focus in 50 run defense snaps this season. He’s averaging a stop once every five plays roughly, looking a lot like Malik Jackson did when he slowly started to become the star defensive end he was in 2015, and is today.

Gotsis isn’t at the level Jackson is/was as a pass rusher quite yet, but at this point in time, he’s quickly becoming one of the team’s most dominant run defenders. The Giants have not been good this season running the football, and while that stems from a lack of overall talent at the running back position, they have also been pretty bad collectively in the run blocking department.

As it has been par for the course this season, I think the Broncos’ run defense will dominate this game but Gotsis in particular on that right side could have a huge game defending against the run.
