The Denver Broncos and some of their players can reach some major milestones in this weekend’s game against the New York Giants…

The Denver Broncos have a chance to get their fourth victory of the season on Sunday night against the New York Giants. They also have the opportunity to reach and exceed a number of big milestones in this game.

Let’s take a look at a few of them.

Six straight wins vs. the NFC East

The Broncos have won five straight games against the NFC East, including a victory earlier this season against the Dallas Cowboys. The last time the Broncos played the NFC East was in their AFC Championship season of 2013, when they swept the division.

They will look to continue that streak this week with a sixth straight victory over the NFC East, and the 0-5 Giants who are one of the league’s most wounded teams right now.

Jamaal Charles could reach 10,000 yards

Jamaal Charles is seeking any number of carries in this game against the Giants, but he has a particularly favorable matchup against the league’s 29th ranked defense against the run so far this season. If he eclipses 87 total yards from scrimmage, he will become one of 11 active players to eclipse the 10,000 yard mark.

Domata Peko — Iron Man

It’s hard to stay healthy in the NFL, regardless of position. To stay healthy for an extended period of time in the trenches?

Even more impressive.

Domata Peko, who has spent the vast majority of his NFL career with the Cincinnati Bengals, has started 116 consecutive games, the most among defensive linemen in the NFL. He can extend that to 117 in this game against the Giants, and barring the unexpected, he will.

Von Miller breaking records

With one sack, Von Miller will become the first player in Denver Broncos history to record five or more sacks in his first seven seasons with the team.

With 2.5 sacks, he will be the second fastest player (93 games) to reach 80 sacks in his career.

Next: Isaiah McKenzie could break a TD return vs. Giants

Miller is also just 1.5 sacks behind Karl Mecklenburg for second on the all-time list in Denver. Against one of the league’s worst pass blocking offensive lines, perhaps Miller has a shot at a clean sweep in this game (notes via Denver Broncos PR).
