The Denver Broncos are 3-1 after the first quarter of the 2017 NFL season. Here are five players who have really made an impact in that excellent start; players who have stood out in a number of different ways and truly made a difference.

Number one will come as no surprise…

1. Von Miller, Linebacker

As you might expect, no player has made as significant of an impact on this Denver Broncos team to start the season than superstar Von Miller.

The Super Bowl 50 MVP is living up to his defensive MVP hype, leading the Broncos so far this season in overall Pro Football Focus grade.

As we have come to expect from Miller, it’s not just his pass rush prowess that is causing opposing teams fits. He is also one of the best in the game against the run, and he’s proving that so far this season.

With 13 quarterback hurries, five hits, and four sacks already this season, Miller is on pace for another big statistical season, despite being double-teamed on pretty much every single play. When Miller is given the opportunity of a one-on-one matchup versus a tackle, he rarely loses (see: sack vs. E.J. Manuel on Sunday).

This is just a special talent, and Broncos fans are lucky to be witnessing his career unfold every single week.
