The Denver Broncos hit the road for the first time this season as they take on the Buffalo Bills. I preview the game between these AFC teams here.

For the first time this season, the Denver Broncos will play somewhere other than Sports Authority Field at Mile High. Denver travels to the east coast for the first time in 2017 when they take on the Buffalo Bills. It is also the first of four 11 AM mountain time games this season.

It’ll be an early one Broncos Country. So make sure you get plenty of rest before hand.

When it comes to the Buffalo Bills, they are a team that we do not see very often. In fact, the last time we saw them, Kyle Orton was the starting quarterback for the Bills.

The Broncos will be seeing a familiar face as Rick Dennison will be on the other side of the field. He was hired to be the Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator during the offseason.

Denver has won three of the last four games in Buffalo. But the last meeting in 2011 did not go so well. Errors on offense and special teams cost the Broncos the game that year.

However, the team has been successful in 11 AM mountain time games since that loss. How will this game play out? Let us take a look as I preview the game.

Things to Watch:

Don’t Fall For the “Trap Game”

With a huge divisional game against the Oakland Raiders next Sunday, the Broncos cannot look past the Buffalo Bills. They have a solid defense and run game during the first two games of the young season. However, it is something they are known for. The Denver Broncos enter this game as three point favorites, which raises my ears like a German Shepard. They can’t look past Buffalo in anticipation for the Raiders.

If the Broncos stick to their game plan, this should be a solid win.

How will the Broncos counter Tyrod Taylor?

The Denver Broncos did a solid job at erasing Ezekiel Elliott from the game plan last Sunday against Dallas. Once again, the Broncos are going up against a solid running back in LeSean McCoy and a dual threat quarterback in Tyrod Taylor.

The key, like last week, will be to slow down or eliminate McCoy and force Taylor to win the game either by throwing the football or using his legs.

If the Broncos can jump out to a solid lead, look for Taylor to throw the ball more often. The Bills do not have a lot of weapons on the receiving end of the offense, so the No Fly Zone should be solid.

Prediction:

This has all the makings of a trap game. But as long as Denver shuts down the run and allows their running game to get going, this should be a win. The Bills could be short on defensive linemen this week due to injuries, so I look for Vance Joseph to take full advantage.
