Denver Broncos: The best team in the NFL right now?

The Denver Broncos have played extremely well through two weeks of the regular season. Are they the best team in the NFL right now?

If you will recall, a week ago we were talking about how hilarious it was that the Denver Broncos had dropped in many power rankings across the landscape of major media outlets.

The Broncos were fresh off of a week one win against the Chargers, one that they nearly gave away — literally — late in the fourth quarter.

Despite the Broncos’ inability to ‘finish well’, they dominated that game against the Chargers for all but about 70 seconds, and that 70 seconds was enough for people to apparently decide the team as a whole wasn’t worthy to be in whatever ranking spot they were placed in the week before.

Starting off with a win was almost worse than losing a hard fought game, apparently.

The Broncos were on a mission in week two to play a much more efficient game, and while they were still not perfect, they absolutely demolished the Dallas Cowboys. That prompted the question from some: Are the Broncos the best team in the NFL right now.

I love watching the show Good Morning Football, and I’m guessing you probably do too. If you don’t watch it or work early in the morning, record it and watch later. Or watch it on the NFL app. It’s amazing.

Kyle Brandt, a former football player and actor is one of the great personalities on the show, and he’s currently the conductor of the Broncos hype train.

His colleagues at GMFB aren’t necessarily all-in yet on the Broncos, but Brandt sees something special in this Denver team, and he’s absolutely right.

The Broncos have the best defense in the league. Their offense has improved. They have one of the best home field advantages in football.

What’s not to like right now?

Trevor Siemian is leading the league with six touchdown passes and has seven in total with his rushing touchdown in week one. If it weren’t for some bad turnovers and bad timing of penalties, the Broncos would have wiped the floor with their first two opponents, one which features two elite edge rushers and one which features one of the best offenses in the game.

The Denver Broncos are for real, and some of the national media is starting to take notice. Are they the best team in the league right now?

It’s not out of the question, that’s for sure.
