Denver Broncos: Week two predictions against Dallas Cowboys
5. Justin Simmons will be a major difference maker.
Justin Simmons wasn’t bad in the Broncos’ first game of the season, but there is room to improve.
Specifically, I look at two plays.

First, there was a touchdown to Keenan Allen in the fourth quarter of the Broncos’ win over the Chargers where Chris Harris Jr. immediately pointed at Simmons as though it was a mental error by the second year player who didn’t have safety help over the top.
We know Harris doesn’t just allow touchdowns like that, so something was definitely up.
Second, there was the touchdown run by Melvin Gordon where Simmons was left diving underneath a soaring Gordon who reached the end zone for six.
That’s two touchdowns Simmons was directly involved in allowing.
Now, he’s not 100 percent at fault for those scores, but I think in week two, he’s going to be out to prove he can — and will — be consistently better than that. I think Simmons is going to be a difference maker in this game in a big way.
