The Denver Broncos were dominant in a victory over the Dallas Cowboys to improve their record to 2-0. Trevor Siemian threw four touchdowns…

The Denver Broncos rode big games from the defensive front, C.J. Anderson, and Trevor Siemian to a dominating performance against the Dallas Cowboys.

The victory brought the Broncos’ record on the season to 2-0.

Denver started off the game by forcing the Cowboys to punt, and promptly marched down the field for a touchdown on their first drive of the game. Trevor Siemian hit Emmanuel Sanders on what appeared to be a broken play-action fake in the back of the end zone on a perfectly placed ball, and the scoring barrage was on.

The Cowboys tied it up at seven on a Dak Prescott touchdown throw to Dez Bryant after Menelik Watson was beat on an inside rush by Dallas defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence, and the adversity didn’t end there for the Broncos.

A missed field goal by Brandon McManus and drive into Denver territory by Dallas was halted by the elements, and an hour-long lightning delay kept both teams off the field for what felt like an eternity.

The Broncos came up with a big stop after the delay, and forced the Cowboys into a punting situation.

As was the theme of the game, the Broncos responded with a touchdown drive to make the game 14-7 as Trevor Siemian hit C.J. Anderson, who did the rest.

The Broncos got another touchdown in the first half from Emmanuel Sanders, who made the Dallas defensive back look silly with a route that left him all alone for the score.

Dallas was able to cut the lead to 11 before the half after a close catch by Dez Bryant put them into field goal range.

Trevor Siemian threw his fourth touchdown pass of the game in the third quarter, hitting Virgil Green near the goal line on a third down play.

Chris Harris Jr. picked off a Dak Prescott pass that was tipped off the hands of Dez Bryant, and the Broncos scored off of that turnover, increasing their lead to 35-10. The Cowboys answered with a touchdown to make it 35-17, and in a desperation situation had a drive that nearly went for six points later in the fourth quarter, but Bradley Roby made a great play to dislodge the ball from the hands of Dez Bryant.

The Broncos dominated this game in terms of time of possession, the line of scrimmage, in the passing game — you name it. The Broncos absolutely destroyed the Cowboys in this game and if it weren’t for their own turnovers, this game would have gotten out of hand even sooner.

Aqib Talib closed things off with a pick-six that went 102 yards, after he had dropped about three interceptions earlier in the game.

Unfortunately for the Broncos in this game, they lost left tackle Garett Bolles to an ankle injury. The initial x-ray on Bolles’ injury was inconclusive, and he will have an MRI in Denver on Monday.

Hopefully, he’s not going to miss the rest of his rookie season, but there’s a decent chance he will miss significant time. He was carted off the field.

We’ll have more updates on that as they become available, but for now, the Broncos are 2-0 and have just come off of one of their most impressive wins in recent years.
