It’s not Trevor Siemian’s first rodeo. As those who know the rodeo well know, Broncos often beat Cowboys in this arena. Will this happen Sunday?

Sunday, Denver Broncos QB Trevor Siemian has a chance to excel in the proverbial gridiron rodeo as the team hosts the Dallas Cowboys.

Siemian (17-28, 219 yards, 2 TD, INT, Rushing TD) excelled in last Monday’s 24-21 win over the Los Angeles Chargers.

Now, with the Cowboys coming to 5,280 feet, it’s safe to say he’s firm in the saddle.

Siemian had several pinpoint and big-time passes Monday and he has a strong running game to support him.

Entering Sunday’s tilt, the Broncos’ rushing offense ranks 5th in the NFL at 140 rushing yards per game.

Tailbacks C.J. Anderson (20 car, 81 yards) and Jamaal Charles (10 car, 40 yards) were both solid.

The Charles fumble was a sore spot but let’s be realistic, turnovers will happen. It’s part of football.

However, if Charles can overcome the fumble bug, he’s as good as he has ever been, especially when he gets to the edge.

Kicker Brandon McManus also fits into this category. Despite his inopportune miss Monday, he has made a franchise-record 84 percent of his kicks (69-84) as a Bronco.

Thus, if Broncos such as McManus and Charles live up to their usual reputations, the Broncos should be that much better.

Additionally, the Broncos’ 24 points Monday ranks them 9th in the NFL. Additionally, they are fifth in the NFL at 3rd down conversions at 53.3 percent.

Defensively, the Broncos are currently better against the run (#10) than they are against the pass (#13). Go figure.

Now, as a professional statistician, I know these stats are skewed. This is because of the small sample size.

However, stats are useful in portending what will happen, especially when I’ve seen the film.

With the exception of some silly turnovers, the Broncos looked simply spectacular Monday.

To me, it’s apparent the Broncos’ defense is still stout (only 249 yards allowed to the Chargers). Furthermore, the Broncos’ offense is free from the ignominious Kubiak/Dennison spell.

I hate to rag on a fellow son of the Mountain Time Zone, but may we all be glad Dennison is in Buffalo right now.

Anyway, here’s some other helpful information for Sunday:

Also, our amazing friend Marty Coniglio of Denver’s 9 News sees a propitious weather day Sunday afternoon.

Also, Cowboys QB Dak Prescott is progressing nicely. He helped Dallas amass 263 passing yards in a 19-3 win over the New York Giants Sunday, 10th in the NFL.

Receivers Brice Butler, Cole Beasley, Dez Bryant and Terrance Williams are also solid as is tailback Ezekiel Elliott.

In any event, this is your game thread. If any Cowboys fans happen upon us, treat them kindly, the Broncos way. GO BRONCOS!!!
