The Denver Broncos welcome the Dallas Cowboys this Sunday. Here is how a turn of faith possibly made Dak Prescott a Cowboy instead of a Bronco.

When it comes to the NFL Draft, anything can happen. We have seen the Denver Broncos make a few surprising moves in the draft. There was one move though that could have happened if it was not for a change of faith. There could be a chance that current Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott could be wearing the orange and blue instead of blue and silver.

Wait? Dak Prescott could have been a Denver Bronco? It is true. And it could have possibility went down if it was not for a bit of a travel hiccup. It is the perfect N “if” L situation. Sorry, could not resist the Dave Dameshek angle. But there was a possibility that Denver could have Prescott and Dallas would have Paxton Lynch.

Dak Prescott met with the media after practice on Wednesday and talked about his connection with the Denver Broncos. There, he would begin a story of how a missed flight might have hurt his chances to become a Denver Bronco.

Prescott revealed that during a pre-draft visit, he had misjudged traffic to the Orlando Airport and ended up missing his flight to Denver. He was able to get in Denver. However, he missed the dinner.

It is unclear whether that was the reason Denver decided to move up in the 2016 NFL Draft to get Paxton Lynch. Do not forget, Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys were interested in Lynch as well and were prepared to pull the trigger. However, John Elway won that chess match.

To think of Dak Prescott as a Denver Bronco quarterback is pretty crazy. Would he have outperformed Mark Sanchez and Trevor Siemian for the starting job? There is always that chance.

We will never know what Dak Prescott would have done in a Denver Broncos orange and blue number four. But one thing is certain. From my viewpoint, I am looking forward to seeing how he performs against the Denver Broncos defense.
