4. Adam Gotsis, Defensive Lineman

Adam Gotsis was a second round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, but was coming in with pretty modest expectations last season given he was coming off of an ACL injury and is still relatively new to the game of football.

The Australian-born Gotsis showed why the Broncos were so high on him in the draft, racking up four stops in the running game and notching a pressure on the quarterback in this game as well.

Gotsis’ production in the running game was outstanding, especially given that was a primary area of concern for him as of last year.

The burst we saw off the line of scrimmage from Gotsis was exactly what everyone was hoping to see as he makes the jump now, here in his second professional season. Gotsis’ production was another indicator of how strong the Broncos’ depth is on the defensive line this year with both Zach Kerr and starter Jared Crick missing this game due to injury.
