2. Shaquil Barrett, Outside Linebacker

Shaquil Barrett is back.

The Broncos’ top reserve edge rusher the past couple of seasons has proven himself worthy of a starting position throughout his young NFL career, but he really showed out against the Chargers on Monday night.

Barrett was credited with six total quarterback pressures, including a sack in this game, and may have had another were it not for a blatant holding that wasn’t called on former Broncos tackle Russell Okung.

Barrett has the ability to explode off the snap, and was so quick off the ball in this game that the Chargers had to start chipping and double teaming him coming off the edge, not an ideal task with Von Miller on the other side.

Coming off of a hip injury, Barrett is showing no ill effects and looked great in this game.
