The Denver Broncos started the season with an impressive victory over the Los Angeles Chargers that ended up being a lot closer than it should have been. The Broncos made some critical errors at the worst possible time, but made enough plays down the stretch and obviously the biggest play to win the game.

Here are five standout performers from the win:

1. Shelby Harris, Defensive Lineman

After a stellar preseason where he opened the eyes of the coaching staff and fans alike, Shelby Harris picked up where he left off after getting a start against the Chargers in week one.

Playing 32 total defensive snaps in this game, Harris showed he is more than capable in run defense, and obviously he came in and made the play of the game on special teams in the waning seconds or the fourth quarter.

Harris got pressure up the middle on this field goal attempt, and after rookie Younghoe Koo of the Chargers made the first attempt and the play was blown dead due to a timeout called by Vance Joseph, Harris made him pay.

The Broncos have really found a gem in Harris, who obviously was dominating guys in the preseason but has already carved out a significant role for the regular season. His involvement going forward will be fun to watch.
