Penn State RB Saquon Barkley (vs. Pittsburgh, ABC, 3:30 PM EST)

The Denver Broncos may have no shot at Saquon Barkley in the 2018 NFL Draft unless they are picking in the top five, but he’s still a player to get familiar with if you aren’t already.

Barkley is a very rare type of athlete at the running back position, who has unbelievable burst and deep speed along with strength, vision, and elusiveness in the open field.

He’s certainly going to be the focus of NFL scouts this season and is right atop the list of most coveted prospects in college football.

Wyoming QB Josh Allen (vs. Gardner Webb, 4:00 PM EST)

Josh Allen will only be available for viewing if you have the local broadcast of the Wyoming game, but how he bounces back after a bad performance against Iowa will be very interesting to see.

Some had Allen ranked as the top quarterback heading into this season, and it’s doubtful that one bad game changed that opinion.

Personally, I prefer UCLA quarterback Josh Rosen, but Allen is going to be the subject of heavy scrutiny this year. As a potential top selection in the draft, you want to see him bounce back in this game against a lesser opponent with a huge game.

Nebraska QB Tanner Lee (vs. Oregon, FOX, 4:30 PM EST)

The Nebraska-Oregon game is worth watching regardless, because it’s a fun matchup, but of particular interest in this game is Huskers quarterback Tanner Lee.

Lee is a transfer from Tulsa who sat out last season and entered this year with high expectations. NFL scouts were flocking to Lincoln this offseason to watch this guy throw, and the early reports back are that this kid has an NFL caliber arm and just needed an opportunity to show his skills.

In Mike Riley’s offense at Nebraska, Lee is going to have a chance to prove himself to NFL scouts throughout this season and potentially get himself invited to the Senior Bowl to further showcase his skills. This game on a big stage is important for Lee.
