The Denver Broncos rookie class of 2017 is expected to have a huge impact. Some will have to wait longer than others. Here’s the latest on each one…

The Denver Broncos’ rookie class has a ton of talented players, but none will be given as much responsibility in 2017 as first round pick Garett Bolles, who is being entrusted with the left tackle position.

It was abundantly clear throughout the course of training camp and the preseason that Bolles was the Broncos’ top option at the position over the likes of Ty Sambrailo and Donald Stephenson, but there’s still plenty of work to be done with his game.

Bolles struggled some in pass protection during the preseason, and had too many penalties. Those issues will need to get cleaned up, but overall, the Broncos are pleased with his development to this point.

We all know that Bolles is an older rookie, which means that his progression is going to have to come along a little more quickly than others. He has the nasty disposition and athleticism to make quick adjustments to the speed of the NFL game. He just has to figure out some of the nuance, and how to win with pre-game planning and film study.
