In a crushing blow to the Denver Broncos locker room, the team released Pro Bowl safety TJ Ward to pave the way for the future.

Numerous players from the Denver Broncos defense speaking out in regards to the release of 3-time Pro Bowler TJ Ward. Due to the reactions, it is imperative for team to hold collective meeting including the entire staff. This is rare case to include the GM. Typically, meetings will include the coaching staff only.

Losing Ward is a tough voice to lose in the locker room, but it is important hear from all those involved. Von Miller, Aqib Talib, Chris Harris Jr., Darian Stewart, Brandon Marshall, Derek Wolfe and Bradley Roby are just some of the players to replace Ward’s leadership. However, it is a gut-wrenching blow to the team.

Here is some of the reaction from the players:

Ward was an instrumental piece in creation of “No Fly Zone.” He signed in 2014 in a free agency frenzy bringing Aqib Talib and DeMarcus Ware also. Ward helped in Super Bowl 50 intercepting Cam Newton en route to his first NFL Championship.

This is also a preseason that saw Todd Davis lose his cool with Aqib Talib during preseason game.

Elway is one of the best executives in the business and surpassed expectations once he took over. In this meeting, it should include John Elway and Vance Jospeh speaking to the players honestly. Joe Woods needs to be involved to speak a few words. Woods is the defensive coordinator and drew rave reviews from everyone on the defense.

It is not a popular opinion to say an executive should be involved speaking to the players, but as outlined earlier, this is a crushing blow involving everyone on the football team. Nonetheless, I am excited to see what the future holds for Justin Simmons, Will Parks and Jamal Carter.
