2. Houston Texans

The Houston Texans are in a pretty desperate situation at the safety position, it seems like.

They currently list Corey Moore and Eddie Pleasant as their top two safeties heading into the final week of the preseason, so Ward would obviously be a huge upgrade for them.

The question is, what would they give back?

The Texans are already out a first round pick in next year’s draft, and likely wouldn’t want to part with any more precious draft capital if they can help it.

It doesn’t seem like they’d be an ideal trade candidate from the Broncos’ perspective unless they are willing to part with another draft pick, but that might be something the Broncos would pounce on. Gary Kubiak is working in the Broncos’ front office now, so he’d be a solid liaison in negotiations if the Texans were to come calling.
