Trevor Siemian has earned the Denver Broncos’ starting QB job. His first test, the Green Bay Packers, one of NFL’s best teams. A tremendous test awaits…
August 19, the Denver Broncos determined Trevor Siemian is the man. This vital factoid has saved new head coach Vance Joseph’s peace of mind.
This date’s 33-14 win over San Francisco showed the Siemian the Broncos need to see. He completed 8 of 11 passes for 93 yards and a score.
After Paxton Lynch comparably struggled, Joseph’s choice was crystal clear. With that said, Siemian leads the Broncos against the Green Bay Packers this evening.
This, being the third game of the preseason, is where starters for both teams play well into the 3rd Quarter traditionally.
With the Packers having 8-1 odds to win Super Bowl 52 (the second best behind New England), this is a significant test for the Broncos.
In the preseason, tailback DeAngelo Henderson is arguably the Broncos’ brightest star. Per footballdb.com, Henderson is averaging 6.46 yards per carry.
The Broncos are also averaging 28.5 points per game in the preseason.
Rookie free-agent QB Kyle Sloter is responsible for this. He has completed 92.3 percent of his passes for 144 yards and a touchdown.
It will be interesting to see what the Broncos do with Sloter once cuts come. Personally, I think he should be second-string at this stage.
Also, the Broncos have taken exceptional care of the ball in the preseason.
The Broncos lead the NFL with a +7 turnover margin in the preseason. They're one of only three teams that has yet to commit a turnover.

It is strange, though, that the Broncos have no sacks in the preseason https://denverbroncoszone.com/game-day-notes-and-stats/.
Perhaps this changes Saturday.
Additionally, Joseph wants complete knowledge of his starters after this one, per Jhabvala.
Vance Joseph would like to know his starters on both sides after this game against the Packers.

The weather should also be great for Saturday, per Stacey Donaldson of the Denver Channel.

Around kickoff, it is expected to be 86 degrees and sunny with 7 mile per hour gusts out of the north.
As always, this is your game thread. If any Packers fans happen upon us, treat them nicely, the Broncos way. GO BRONCOS!!!
