TY SAMBRAILO, OT

Now that Donald Stephenson has re-structured his contract a second time, it seems the writing is on the wall for Ty Sambrailo, who is definitely in danger of losing his roster spot or a strong candidate to get traded.

The Broncos aren’t exactly a model of what ‘depth’ looks like at the offensive tackle position, but so far in three NFL seasons, Sambrailo has struggled with injuries and inability to stay in shape.

Thus, his effectiveness against opposing pass rushers has been, well, ineffective.

Sambrailo did well in the Broncos’ preseason opener, and was average in the follow up performance against San Francisco. He needs to have a big game against the Packers to prove he’s worthy of either keeping on the roster, or worthy of some team trading draft assets to get him.
