Denver Broncos players to watch vs. Green Bay Packers

The newly minted starting quarterback for the Denver Broncos will lead the team in the preseason dress rehearsal, knowing now that he will be the quarterback who takes the ball when the Broncos face off against the Los Angeles Chargers in the final game of the NFL’s week one slate.

Siemian has been very solid through two preseason games, completing 14-of-18 passes with a touchdown and an adjusted completion percentage of 100 percent (drops, throwaways).

It wasn’t what every Broncos fan wanted to see at the quarterback position, but it was most definitely the correct decision after watching both Siemian and Paxton Lynch through training camp and two preseason games.

The Broncos were confident in this decision as well, and Siemian has the backing of his teammates. It’s going to be very interesting to see how he responds in a game situation now, knowing that he is — again — going to be the starting quarterback for this Broncos team.

I expect the confidence to be soaring for Siemian in this game, and for us to see some of what he can do in keeping an up-tempo pace with the offense.
