The trade every Broncos fan would want: Navorro Bowman, LB

More from Predominantly Orange

Of course, every Broncos fan would want to trade for Navorro Bowman. Unfortunately, that doesn’t seem likely to happen. John Lynch might be willing to wheel and deal, but this is a player who is really the heart and soul of San Francisco’s defense.

It would cost the Broncos way too much to get Bowman, I think.

Arik Armstead, DL

The former first round pick out of Oregon seemed like a better fit for the 3-4 defense coming out of college, and has been underwhelming in his time with the team, but the potential is certainly still there.

Still, it’s hard to see San Francisco parting with a former premium draft pick, even one not from this new regime, for what the Broncos would probably be looking for as far as a value. If John Elway could find a way to get Armstead, I think he’d get coached up quickly by Bill Kollar and be an asset.

Perhaps the 49ers would consider trading Armstead for Broncos tight end Virgil Green and a third or fourth round draft pick.

Vance McDonald, TE

As previously stated, the Broncos may be looking for an upgrade in the passing game at tight end, even with reinforcements on the way in the form of Jake Butt later this season. No one has really elevated themselves above the rest this offseason.

Even still, McDonald’s contract could be what is preventing teams from trying to trade for him, as he has an ‘out’ in his deal after this season but it would still cost the team a significant chunk of change against the cap to get rid of him in 2018.
