Jake Butt begins season on Non-Football Injury List

With Jake Butt starting the season on the sidelines, this list was a no-brainer. However, when Butt returns, a big decision will have to be made.

Virgil Green is the veteran of the group. However, he has not shown a whole lot since the team gave him a three year contract in 2014. Denver decided to go with Green over Julius Thomas that year.

Entering his last year of the contract, Green will have to really show that he can be a solid option at tight end this season.

A.J. Derby is a solid option. Now with the chance of a full season in the Broncos system, he can be a reliable option in the passing game. Jeff Heuerman is in his third season. It will be interesting to see how he does in his third year.
