The quarterback battle has not officially ended yet. However, looking at the 49ers game on Saturday, there could be a decision made before the Broncos take on the Packers. It appears as if Trevor Siemian has won the starting job once again.

The dress rehearsal game against the Green Bay Packers will be a big one. Whomever is named the starter will have to perform well in order to erase any doubt that they could lead this team.

Whomever is not named the starter will be the backup. However, it should not be a discouraging thing. He will need to be ready in case anything was to happen with the starter.

Kyle Sloter will most likely end up on the practice squad. As for Chad Kelly, injured reserve might be in his cards for the season.
