Who’s Not Playing

We know the Broncos will be without starting safety T.J. Ward. In his place, we’ll see a good amount of Justin Simmons and Will Parks, both of whom will be rotating in the top defensive unit plenty anyway.

Running back Jamaal Charles will sit his second straight preseason game with plans to play in the Broncos’ week three matchup against Green Bay. With Devontae Booker also still out, it will be C.J. Anderson, Stevan Ridley, and game one hero De’Angelo Henderson leading the pack.

Derek Wolfe is going to be OUT with an ankle injury. Fellow defensive lineman Jared Crick will also not be playing.

We’re also not going to see Shane Ray, Shaquil Barrett, and perhaps not Von Miller. Miller will likely be a gametime decision from the coaching staff. He’s not hurt, but with the lack of depth on the defensive front as it is, Miller may be held out as a precautionary measure.

Rookie DE/OLB DeMarcus Walker is also OUT with a hip injury.

Fellow rookie WR Carlos Henderson is OUT with a thumb injury.

Center Matt Paradis is OUT as he continues recovery from hip surgery.

Wide receivers Emmanuel Sanders and Cody Latimer are questionable for the game.
