The Denver Broncos came out of Solider Field with an impressive 24-17 victory. Among the Broncos that impressed was safety Jamal Carter.

Jamal Carter was one of the few Denver Broncos players that really stuck out in the team’s 24-17 win over the Chicago Bears on Thursday Night. With T.J. Ward sitting out of the contest and Darian Stewart playing just one series, it was important to see who could step up the remainder of the way.

In the first audition leading up to the 53 man roster cuts, Jamal Carter made his presence known in a big way. His final stats of the game were six tackles and one fumble recovery. Those numbers are very impressive for the limited amount of game action in the preseason.

Denver signed Jamal Carter as an undrafted free agent out of the University of Miami. He got the biggest signing deal among undrafted free agents in a long time. He got $20,000 from the team. To me, that shows how highly John Elway thinks of Jamal Carter.

Recent history shows the Denver Broncos have given a roster spot to at least one undrafted free agent for years. The question is will Jamal Carter join that list?

I believe he has a great chance of doing that. The Denver Broncos are focused on keeping their defense fresh for years to come. I believe that Jamal Carter can be a player that will be a huge special teams guy.

With the recent history of injuries to the secondary, it would not be a bad idea to have him join the team either. He could play the secondary and inside the box too. There is a chance he could be a versatile player for the Denver Broncos this season.

Jamal Carter is making a strong case to become a member of the Broncos final 53.
