Kasim Edebali
When looking through the Broncos’ free agent class of 2017, it’s easy to overlook the move to acquire Edebali.
He hasn’t been a superstar in terms of statistical production, but he’s been a special teams stud in this league, and brings some critical depth to the Broncos.
As far as players with actual in-game experience off the edge, Edebali has the most in terms of the depth now with Shane Ray and Shaquil Barrett injured.
With Miller out, Edebali will likely assume the ‘top’ role at the position, and have a chance to stake his claim on the opening day starter position.
Where Miller wins with pure speed off the edge, Edebali is the type of player that has proven himself as a high effort player, one who is relentless in pursuit of the quarterback. He doesn’t have the edge-bending ability of a Miller, but he will make life very difficult on opposing linemen with his intensity every play.
