As the Denver Broncos prepare for their preseason opener at Chicago, many fans are wondering when they will see Jamaal Charles…

The Denver Broncos kick off preseason in just a few days, and one question looms regarding Jamaal Charles. Will we see him play?

Jamaal Charles hasn’t seen an NFL snap since October of 2016. The Broncos have taken their time with easing Charles into the swing of things in order to preserve his health.

Last season, the Chiefs rushed Charles back too soon following ACL surgery in 2015.

Charles came into 2016 and couldn’t quite run with the same burst and something was evidently wrong. He dealt with continuous swelling in his knee and sought Dr. Andrews opinion.

Dr. Andrews went into his knee to clean up scar tissue and check for further damage that an MRI couldn’t pick up on.

The Chiefs released Charles in the offseason and the Denver Broncos swooped in and have taken a chance on Charles. Many media outlets and people around the NFL speak skeptically when it comes to Charles’ ability to be who he was on the field for so many years with Kansas City.

With proper rehab and rest, Charles has found a sense of rejuvenation in the Mile High City. In individual drills he shows off his still potent explosiveness.

However many fans have wondered why Charles hasn’t participated in many team drills. The Broncos have taken their time with involving Charles in the more physical periods of training camp practice.

Last week, Charles got eased in to the team’s 7 on 7 period and saw some team action this weekend. The Broncos play in just three days time and many are wondering if we will see Charles Thursday night.

According to Head Coach Vance Joseph we will see Charles, but the timetable isn’t necessarily revealed yet.

The question remains whether Charles will see carries this Thursday night or next week against the 49ers. Either way, excitement is brewing for the Broncos to finally take the field against somebody other than themselves.

What are your thoughts Broncos Country? Should the Broncos give Charles more time or should we expect to see him Thursday night?
