Honorable Mention:

Richard Sherman, Seattle Seahawks & Mychal Kendricks, Philadelphia Eagles

As great as it would be for Elway to pull off a monster of a trade with Sherman, the probability of it is more unlikely than them landing Cousins. Seattle has said that they would field offers but by no means were they going to trade him.

The 29 year old corner is set to make $11.5 million this year and the Broncos already have a bolstered secondary led by Chris Harris and Aqib Talib, with Bradley Roby to strengthen it even more considering he could very well be a No. 1 on any other roster. We know it won’t happen but it doesn’t hurt to think about it.

Kendricks just missed the cut but is a more likely option given that Shane Ray is going to miss 6-8 weeks with a wrist injury and is going to make $4.8 million. Kendricks also requested to be traded by the Eagles, although Philadelphia declined to grant it.

His production took a hit last season considering he averaged at least 75 tackles from 2012-15 with a career season in 2013 where he had 106 tackles, four sacks and three interceptions. Denver can rejuvenate his career with him alongside Brandon Marshall and Super Bowl MVP Von Miller. Kendricks fits the Broncos trade options and they can include numerous pieces to help.

The options are out there for Elway and the Broncos, all it takes is them picking up the phone and giving someone a reason to answer.
