Kirk Cousins, Quarterback, Washington Redskins

Age: 28

Contract: 1 yr, $24 Million

It’s no secret that there is a rift between Cousins and the Redskins, it’s just that neither side wants to admit it. The former Michigan State Spartan is playing his second consecutive season on the franchise tag at $23.9 million, and he has gone on record to say that he is at peace with playing on a year to year basis.

Denver could try to pull off a blockbuster trade for the quarterback, but the fact that he wants a hefty payday like the one Matthew Stafford is more than likely going to get from Detroit (around $30 million per season), might hinder the Broncos or any team to try and land the pro bowl signal caller.

The fourth round pick threw for at least 4,000 yards and 25 touchdowns while also maintaining a career passer rating of 93.6.   Having consistent quarterback play and with their dominant defense still intact, Cousins would be a huge upgrade at the position that could see them make a deep run into January.

Trade Possibility: Highly Unlikely
