Defense

The New Orleans Saints game last season saw Darian Stewart create three turnovers himself. Today, the entire Denver Broncos defense enjoyed success in every rotation. The team showed their depth well in day four of Training Camp. Tyrique Jarrett is not a name that rolls off the tongue. However, he is making his presence felt. Registered at 6’3 335 pounds, the ex-Pittsburgh Panther is an immobile object like a boulder.

The mainstays of the defense continue showing why their the best defense in the National Football League. Lorenzo Doss is erupting again in Training Camp. Doss is a ball hawk in every sense of the description. He is making a case for the fourth corner spot once again. He is a gutsy corner willing to jump routes and play physically with wide receivers. This type of production must translate to games where is failing to impress.

Meanwhile Chris Harris Jr. and Aqib Talib are not slowing down any time soon. There are good cornerback duos and then there are great dynamic shutdown corners. Both Harris Jr. and Talib are making plays throughout camp. This is a sign they are ready for the season to begin. A pleasant sign is Bradley Roby. He appears to be refocused and recharged entering this season. This attitude and play bodes for a rebound year from Roby who might be a number one corner on many teams.

Moral of day four: defense wins championships and this unit is not slowing down any time soon.
