The Denver Broncos were searching for a replacement to Malik Jackson the minute he walked away to Jacksonville in 2016. DeMarcus Walker is a type of player ready to make that type of impact. On Paxton Lynch’s first throw of camp today, Walker made his presence felt by batting the pass down. Walker proved a strong force on the bull rush to get in the backfield.

These are just some of the qualities Walker possesses, but quickness is an underrated part of his game. Walker played with Jimbo Fisher as his head coach. What Fisher said in a press release when the Broncos selected Walker is glowing.

"“He will go down as one the top defensive players in school history. He has a great opportunity to be successful in the NFL because of his ability to play multiple positions on the defensive line and his passion for the game. DeMarcus is an outstanding young man, and I’m really excited for him and his family,” – Jimbo Fisher (quote courtesy Denver Broncos PR"

Walker entered Training Camp around the exact same weight as Malik Jackson: 6’4″ 280 pounds. He will be a force if this type of play continues.
