Isaiah McKenzie

As outlined in the intro, special teams has been an issue the last two years. Jordan Norwood, famous for his Super Bowl 50 punt return, is now long gone. Carlos Henderson can become a kickoff specialist if need be, but there is no player making an impact like fellow draftee Isaiah McKenzie.
After three days of camp, it is safe to say McKenzie sealed his spot as punt returner on opening day.
However, it is up to the coaches if they feel comfortable rolling a 5’7″ 175 pound returner on kickoffs. McKenzie proved in college he is more than capable of being a dual threat on special teams. He proved his quickness and speed on one punt return taking it to the house, continuing to amaze the coaching staff.
#Broncos Vance Joseph said McKenzie has been advertised. "Nothing has been too big for him" He looked strong on punt returns @DenverChannel

If McKenzie is warranting this amount of praise early in the Training Camp process it bodes well for him starting week one. McKenzie further reminded me of Trindon Holliday’s explosive ability and awareness to find a little separation. The Broncos were beat constantly by Tyreek Hill from the Kansas City Chiefs, but now Denver appears to have found it’s version of Hill in McKenzie.
