NEW ORLEANS, LA – NOVEMBER 13: Jordan Taylor /

Jordan Taylor

Training camp is merely hours away and the Denver Broncos are getting ready to kick it off in hopes of heading back to the playoffs. There is a lot of work to be done on the field and in between the trenches, but i’m taking the time to talk about a player I believe will be a breakout during camp.

I’m taking last years guy once again in Jordan Taylor. Last season Taylor had a strong training camp and battled with Bennie Fowler who got a majority of the reps. However, when Taylor got into the game he produced. In Week Four of the preseason last year, Taylor broke out against the Cardinals by snagging four receptions for 109 yards. He caught a 57 yard touchdown throw by Paxton Lynch.

In the regular season Taylor played in every game. He had a total of 16 receptions for 209 yards with touchdown receptions against Kansas City and New Orleans. I believe he will thrive in Mike McCoy’s system. Surely there is a lot of depth and competition at the Wide Receiver position, but one thing is for sure. Jordan Taylor is one of the Broncos most underrated gems who deserves a shot at getting more minutes on the field.

Let’s think about it for a second: Peyton Manning speaks and thinks highly of Jordan Taylor that he was one of the only guys Manning asked to throw to during his rehabilitation in 2015 while Brock Osweiler took over. Let’s hope to some more spectacular one handed catches in training camp and hope for Sunshine to get more playing time on Sundays.
