When looking at a player to surprise in training camp this year, look no further than the Broncos first round pick this year, Garett Bolles.  It shouldn’t be too much of a surprise to see a first round pick performing well as a rookie.  However, look for Bolles to establish himself as the future at left tackle early into camp.  As Von Miller said, Bolles is going to be a “legend”

Garett Bolles finished mini-camp on a high note, rotating back and forth with Ty Sambrailo at the starting spot.  Of course the Broncos weren’t just going to hand him the job, as the new coaching staff wants everything to be earned.  It was clear though, in mini-camp that Bolles was the best left tackle on the roster, and this should spill into camp.  Look for Bolles to surpass Sambrailo early, and gather the majority of the first team reps throughout camp.

One of the biggest advantages that Bolles has is his age.  It was a big negative by some, but the maturity level for Bolles is going to far higher than your average first round pick.  This guy is a grinder and he knows how to work.  Von Miller has grabbed Bolles already, and taken him under his wing.  If he can block Von, he can block anyone.

Bolles is athletic of a tackle as you will find.  He can use that athleticism to keep players from beating him outside.  He is going to need to work on the inside moves, but that is where Von comes in.  Von is going to teach him the intricacies from the defenders prospective, which should help him know how to stop them from on his end.
