Ty Sambrailo

The Denver Broncos took Ty Sambrailo in the 2015 Draft.  He was one of the surprise draft picks, but watching his game film gave Broncos Country hope that he could help that offensive line. However, he suffered an injury in only his third game of the regular season. The injury placed him on injured reserve.

During the 2016 season, he just seemed off. He could not get a lot going on the offensive line. Not to mention an elbow injury really hurt his chances at getting some quality reps. His lack of reps on the field clearly showed during the 2016 season.

Now that he has had a full offseason of work to this date, he is looking to compete. He is currently battling with first round pick Garret Bolles for the starting left tackle position. There is no doubt that Garett Bolles is most likely the tackle of the future for the Denver Broncos. But perhaps Ty Sambrailo can surprise. The one thing that Sambrailo has going for him is his NFL experience. Even though it is very limited, he has shown flashes of what he can do.

If he can get through training camp without any hiccups as far as injuries are concerned, I am looking at him to become a solid option on the offensive line. Sambrailo is also very versatile on the line and could play some guard as well.

I can see Vance Joseph looking at Sambrailo and trying him out at both tackle and guard during training camp. This man has a chip on his shoulder. I think his drive to make some noise during training camp could make the difference.
