Broncos wide receiver Cody Latimer could be on the roster bubble heading into camp. A video surfaced on his actions in February puts him in a tough spot.

Perhaps one of the more intriguing roster battles for the Denver Broncos is at the wide receiver position. Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders are locks at the first and second spots. After that is fair game. Cody Latimer is one of the wide outs looking to earn a spot on the final 53 man roster for the team.

A recent video that surfaced from events in February might hurt his chances of suiting up for Denver in 2017.

TMZ Sports released a video of an incident with Cody Latimer and a strip club bouncer. The incident took place in February. According to TMZ, Latimer and the bouncer had a disagreement in regards to the dress code.

While having the discussion, Cody Latimer then slapped the bouncer. He then was pepper sprayed by the bouncer before his uncle stepped in and got knocked to the ground by the bouncer. Dayton police stated that there is no investigation.

The Denver Post’s Nicki Jhabvala was able to receive a statement from the Denver Broncos in regards to the incident.

Even though there will be no investigation on the manner, this does not look good for the former second round pick. Even though the Denver Broncos have talked to Cody Latimer about the incident, this could put his roster spot in a tough spot.

With Carlos Henderson and Isaiah McKenzie drafted this season, Latimer will need a great training camp if he is going to have a shot at making the team. I can see the Broncos holding on to Latimer due to his special teams play.

This could be a story line to follow during training camp. Will the offseason actions cost him a spot on the roster? We shall see in the next few weeks.
