Von Miller is obviously one of the best players in the entire NFL today, regardless of position. How will he fare statistically in 2017?

Super Bowl 50 MVP. 5x Pro Bowl. 3x First Team All-Pro. Defensive Rookie of the Year.

These accomplishments are synonymous with one Bronco: Von Miller. The amount of highlights and accolades on his resume thus far are indicative of a Hall of Fame career. While I have no doubt in my mind that Miller is Canton-bound, he’s only 28 – the middle of his prime!

Since being drafted second overall in 2011, Miller has posted double-digit sacks in 5 of his 6 seasons. These numbers prove that this pass rush artist is geared up for another huge season in Denver.

The phenom himself has already set the record straight for his intentions this year. In a since deleted tweet, Miller has his eyes set on being tops in sacks this season, a point he made known to Vic Beasley, the leader at the end of 2016. While Miller has never achieved this feat, his confidence to dominate this season to earn that coveted title is at an all time high.

Von Miller’s desire for the crown is real, and so are his chances of obtaining it.

According to ESPN’s 2016 passing statistics, six out of sixteen opponents on the Broncos 2017 schedule ranked in the bottom half of sacks allowed in 2016. At the rate of giving up over two sacks/game, Miller will have ample opportunity to rack up another monster season.

The Broncos employ Miller in numerous ways; whether that be unleashing him on opposing QB’s, defending the edge to stop tailbacks, or dropping into coverage to defend tight ends in the box. Miller’s versatility is his strongest attribute, and his work ethic to stay on the field is astounding. These two factors are a direct catalyst to his impressive numbers in his career so far.

Don’t expect Miller to let up in 2017, as this season could be his best. Miller was recently voted the second best player in the league by his peers, and by next summer, we may see him climb to the number one spot.
