It can be difficult to replace a first ballot Hall of Famer, but Shane Ray is primed to make a significant leap this upcoming season. Hear that roar? That is Ray making his claim as staple in the Broncos pass rush lore. Ray is searching for his first 10+ sack season and will get it. Von Miller increase chances of double teams opens up Ray for sacks galore.

Ray is rare breed of power whose bull rush is a force to be reckoned with. He plays with a hair on fire and sees a leap forward in 2017.

“Bigger goals for me. I keep pressing the goals. When you sit in a room with two All-Pros and two potential Hall of Famers (Ware and Von Miller), it’s hard to say that mentality and that idea doesn’t rub off on you. When I’m in there with Von and I see what he’s able to do and know what I’m capable of doing, I want to be an All-Pro player. That’s something that I aspire to every day,” Ray stated on May 3.

The play of Ray makes it difficult for offensive linemen to not allow him to get a sack. On that same day, Ray pointed out it is easy for him to get a sack a game.

“Nobody can honestly stop me from getting one sack a game. I look at that in the NFL and honestly I feel the same way,” Ray said. “Nobody can block me for a whole game.”

It is this attitude that will show improvement and prove Ray is one of the top five most important Denver Broncos players heading into this season.
