Forrest Lamp, OL, Los Angeles Chargers
Leading into the 2017 NFL Draft, I felt like Forrest Lamp had at least a decent chance of being the first offensive lineman selected.
Watching him play at Western Kentucky, Lamp showed a level of dominance I haven’t seen from a player at a school that isn’t necessarily known for cranking out NFL talent. He more than held his own in an early season matchup against Alabama, and after three straight seasons of elite performance, the Chargers were able to steal him in the second round.

Lamp is as technically sound as they come and while he’ll start off his NFL career at guard, I think he could play tackle or center as well and still maintain a high level of play.
I think whatever position he settles in at, Lamp will be a perennial Pro Bowl caliber guy and will prove to be one of the best pickups the Chargers made from a very solid draft class.
