The NFL offseason is a glorious time. There’s nothing quite like team building and roster construction, at least in my mind. The AFC West had no shortage of intriguing storylines to follow all offseason long, and that will extend into training camp.

I thought it would be interesting to take a look at the top four offseason pickups for every team in the AFC West, starting of course with the team that most recently won a World Championship.

Ronald Leary, OG, Denver Broncos

There was no secret about the Broncos’ offseason focus — the offensive line needed to be blown up, and basically started from scratch.

The first priority on the Broncos’ list?

Dallas Cowboys guard Ronald Leary. Leary has been one of the better left guards in football on one of the best offensive lines in the league in Dallas, and he brings much needed toughness to the line of the Denver Broncos.

Moving to right guard in Denver, I think Leary will prove to be the top offseason acquisition of the Broncos but it could be a very close race between he and running back Jamaal Charles, who is fully healthy and ready for action.
