6. Cody Latimer, Wide Receiver

Cody Latimer was a second round pick in the 2014 NFL Draft with high expectations. He showed off incredible athletic ability at Indiana, and had a knack for making big plays downfield.

So far with the Broncos, we have barely even seen glimpses of that guy.

As of last year, Latimer had developed into quite the special teams player, an area that could force the Broncos to keep him on the roster after so many key departures on special teams a year ago. Latimer’s inability to progress as a receiver has many factors to it, but it still baffles me to this day that the Broncos can throw him a screen or a slant five times a game and see what he can do after the catch.

As it stands, I wouldn’t be surprised if Latimer was the team’s number three receiver, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he was cut or traded. His value might not be overly high, and because of that, the Broncos might just opt to keep him around for one more season and get the most out of their second round investment.
