The final player to not be under contract with the Denver Broncos has signed his RFA tender. Could a long term deal still be in play for Brandon McManus?
Perhaps the most interesting, but not talked about much, saga of Brandon McManus has finally ended for the time being. It has been quite, but Brandon signed his Restricted Free Agent tender on Wednesday.
The Broncos re-signed Brandon McManus to his RFA tender on Wednesday. He becomes the last RFA to sign his deal, according to Adam Schefter.
According to Schefter, a long term deal is still possible for the Broncos kicker. But with the deadline for restricted free agents to sign their tenders, it was key for Elway and McManus to at least give themselves some extra time.
Not having a new deal or signing the tender did not stop Brandon McManus from participating in the Denver Broncos offseason activities. He knew the risk of not signing, but continued to show up anyways. That shows how dedicated he is to the team.
Will Brandon McManus get his long term deal? In an NFL world that is lacking in quality kickers, I would not be surprised at all. I would put Brandon McManus in my top five kickers in the league as of right now.

Last season, Brandon McManus missed five of his 34 attempts on field goals. He also went 32 of 33 on his extra points. To me, he is well known for his booming kicks on field goals and kickoffs. Not to mention going 10/10 on his field goals during the Denver Broncos playoff run that led to a Super Bowl title.
I have no doubt that he will get his long term deal. With the tender signed, now we wait and see when John Elway and Brandon McManus’ agent begin talking long term.
