Denver Broncos head coach Vance Joseph said the team is satisfied with its current depth at wide receiver when asked about adding Eric Decker…
Don’t expect the Denver Broncos to be among the teams interested in signing recently released wide receiver Eric Decker.
Last season, the top two players in terms of snap counts at the wide receiver position were obviously Demaryius Thomas and Eric Decker. The Broncos’ depth there last season was poor, even when split among Jordan Norwood, Jordan Taylor, Bennie Fowler, and Cody Latimer.

It would be a fun story to see Decker return to the team that drafted him, but if you’ll recall, his exit from the team came after no offer was extended, and the Broncos just drafted two receivers the have high hopes for in Carlos Henderson and Isaiah McKenzie.
While bringing back Decker would excite some fans, it simply isn’t financially responsible of the Broncos right now to make that kind of investment.
If one of Thomas or Sanders were injured, it might be a different story. Decker is certainly one of the best receivers in the league dating back to the 2011 season when healthy. In fact, he and Demaryius Thomas both have 52 receiving touchdowns since coming into the league together in 2010.
That said, some other team will benefit from the services of Decker (and Barnidge, mentioned above) in all likelihood. Hopefully, Decker doesn’t sign with any of the New England Patriots, Kansas City Chiefs, Oakland Raiders, or Los Angeles Chargers.
One team that could be an intriguing fit is the Tennessee Titans. The Baltimore Ravens, who are somewhat thin at receiver, are also rumored to have interest in bringing Decker aboard.
