One player that is expected to contend for a roster spot is Kansas State safety Dante Barnett, who has recently caught the eye of star cornerback Chris Harris Jr.

That’s a pretty strong endorsement in itself, but were it not for injury, we might be looking at a fourth or fifth round safety here.

Barnett was incredibly productive for the Wildcats when healthy, picking off eight passes in his collegiate career and earning team captain status. Barnett is also an asset in the community and off the field, which is something the Broncos value highly in their players.

If he can prove himself capable on special teams, Barnett could easily sneak onto the Broncos’ 2017 roster and fill in as needed.
