Taurean Nixon was a seventh round pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, along with last year’s starting quarterback, Trevor Siemian.

Nixon’s teammate at Tulane — fellow cornerback Lorenzo Doss — was taken by the Broncos in the fifth round of the same draft class.

After splitting time between the practice squad and active roster, it would appear Nixon is currently staring at one of his final opportunities to make the Broncos’ 53-man roster. He’s certainly stuck around for what seems like forever at this point, and perhaps the Broncos have themselves an ace special teamer here.

Nixon is a dynamic athlete who has always been a better athlete than defensive back. That’s not necessarily a slight, but a testament to his physical abilities. He’s another potential option for the Broncos if Parks misses time.
