Entering the final year of his contract with the Denver Broncos, T.J. Ward have voiced that he wants to finish his career with the Broncos. Can it happen?
Ever since his arrival in 2014, T.J. Ward has become one of the best safeties that has put on the orange and blue for the Denver Broncos. I have not seen a tougher safety in the secondary since the days of Steve Atwater and John Lynch.
When it comes to T.J. Ward, he has proven a lot in such a short amount of time. He has played the pass and has been known to bring the boom on opposing quarterbacks and pass catchers.
Pretty soon, the Denver Broncos are going to need a decision on the 30 year old safety. He is entering the final year of the four year contract he signed back in 2014.
With his performance in a Denver Broncos uniform, I believe that he has earned that extension. Ward has voiced his interest in wanting to complete his career with Denver in an exclusive interview with Troy Renck.
"āI would love to finish my career here. Iād like to see something get done. They have done that in the past with guys. I think I have proven myself. But if they think I need to show more, then I will just have to keep proving it to them.ā"
John Elway and the Denver Broncos have expressed interest in extending Ward. They have done so in the past with guys like Chris Harris Jr. and Darian Stewart.
If Ward was to get a significant extension, they could be a chance that the secondary would be set for the team for years to come. The No Fly Zone would not die down anytime soon.

I would really like to see an extension done for Ward. He deserves it. It will come down to timing. But I would much rather see a deal done, if any, sooner rather than later. Setting the market could really help Elway.
We shall see what happens, but here is to hoping that T.J. Ward remains a Bronco the rest of his career.
