The Denver Broncos began phase three of their offseason program on Tuesday, and there are some interesting takeaways from the opening practice. Of course, everything from day one of OTAs should be taken with a grain of salt, as the coaches are implementing an entirely new system, players are getting acclimated, and nothing is set in stone.

Second-year quarterback Paxton Lynch talked about his initial thoughts on where he’s gotten better this year compared to where he was last year:

"“It’s kind of hard to tell because I only have one year under my belt. I feel a lot more confident just being around the guys and being around the locker room. I feel like I can go out here and cut it loose a little bit more compared to my first year. Other than that, I’m just coming to work every day and trying to improve.” – Paxton Lynch at day one of OTAs (quotes obtained via Broncos PR)"
