Von Miller Knows How to Bring On The Pressure

Since he arrived in the NFL, Von Miller has been bringing the heat on quarterbacks. Pro Football Focus says he is the best when it comes to pass rushing.
Von MIller has become quite the iconic face when we think about linebackers today. His ability to get to the quarterback and provide pressure to the opposing team has been noticed.
All you need to do is look at the games that the Denver Broncos were in when it was crunch time and you can see how much of a difference maker he is.
His best performance came in Super Bowl 50, where he forced two fumbles. One fumble resulted in a touchdown and the other one helped close out a championship season.
His biggest performance last season came in Week Two against the Colts. He forced a fumble on Andrew Luck that resulted in a Shane Ray scoop and score that put the game away.
Pro Football Focus looked into Von Miller’s numbers since he arrived in the league. One stat they have pointed out is phenomenal. When it comes to pass rushing, Von Miller has generated pressure on the quarterback 17.3 percent of the time.

That number is the best of any defender in over ten years. Von is a machine when it comes to creating pressure. I knew his numbers were great. I had no idea that he generated that much pressure.

When you look at it closely, he generates pressure on nearly every fifth pass rush. That is just amazing to think about. And the fun part for Broncos fans? I honestly believe there is more to come from Von Miller. At 28 years old, he is right in the prime of his career.
Broncos Country cannot wait to see what else he has in store for the defense as his career continues.
