The annual NFLPA rookie premiere where rookies from around the league gather in California for photo shoots and other fun media opportunities is one of my favorite events every year. Why? Because we get our first look at rookies in their full uniforms, and this year, the Denver Broncos are represented by Carlos Henderson.
The all-white uniforms were worn by Henderson here, but we also got a look at his new home orange uniform in another Twitter post…

The Denver Broncos colors definitely suit Henderson, who is expected to be the team’s most explosive addition to the offense, which will be vastly different from a year ago. If Henderson’s presence means anything, it’s that we’ll see a lot more touchdowns, and a lot more big plays.

While at Louisiana Tech, Henderson led the country in yardage per play (over 20) and did it in a variety of ways. He was obviously great this past year as a wide receiver and after the catch, but he was also excellent in the return game, and as a runner out of the backfield.
With Henderson now in the fold for the Broncos, it gives this team speed out of the slot and playmaking ability that simply didn’t exist the last two seasons. Wes Welker was an excellent player for the Broncos, better than he was probably even given credit, and his absence in the passing game threw the Broncos for a bit of a loop.
Despite having Emmanuel Sanders and Demaryius Thomas on the outside, teams were able to take away the deep passing game for the most part from the Broncos, and make life tough for the offense.
That won’t be so easy this year, now that the Broncos have added the nation’s leader in broken tackles.
